License sale/transfer procedure for PT?

I'm thinking of selling my PT9 non-hd license. What's the protocol for license transfer? Do I need to get pre-approval first?

Nope. You just send it through ilok.com. It'll cost $25 for the transfer, and the buyer will need an ilok account and an ilok. You'll also need to provide the software as there isn't any good way for the buyer to download it. When I sold my copy I bought a copy of the discs from the avid store and had them delivered to the buyer. Cost about $20 or so.

Thanks. Very thorough and helpful answer! Anyone know what the going rate for a used PT9 license is these days? Not even sure it'll be worth selling it and buying M-Powered. On ebay it looks to be about $275-$300? But that seems a little too optimistic to me.
