Preroll, PostRoll - WTF am I doing wrong!

I have read the manual, searched the web but can't seem to work out what the hell I am doing wrong!.

I have linked timeline and edit, turned on PreRoll on the transport, set the preroll flag for a couple of bars ahead of my edit point but when I hit play it always starts playing at the edit point not Preroll point.

What am I doing wrong?

Same happens if I select a region to quickpunch and set a preroll and postroll. No matter what I do it keeps starting at edit poits, not preroll?

Am I missing something here, It seems simple but just does not seem to work!

Only time it works ocassionly is when I click and move a little white triangle to the preroll point but it only works once and then reverts back to playing from the edit point. HELP!!

Running 8.0.3.

did you turn on Pre and/or post roll? on the Transport, should be lit up bright GREEN when its on

Yes sure did, everything exactly like the reference guide said.
Preroll is lit green on the transport.
Flag is set one bar forward from my edit point (little yellow flag)
Postroll is off.
But when i press play it always just strarts at the edit point.

Are you *absolutely* sure the pre-roll flag is yellow?

If you have "Options>Dynamic Transport" turned on then turn it off.

sorted guys, was dynamic transport that was the issue.

The easiest way to initiate pre-roll is to choose the punch section and then push option followed the point you want the pre roll to start. That kicks it in automatically.
