Default Autotune 5 announced

Most important features for those like me who use it in graphic mode only:

1 Very large display

2 Sync to host that allows to start everywhere
"No more having to always start playback at exactly the same location"

Thank you Antares

I don't think this applies to ProTools...

The last thing I want is a large display on Autotune. It already obsures most of Pro Tools on my screen. Why can't there be options on the amount of features displayed. Remove the keyboard or other. Also would it be possible to have an option of half size display, or this that not possible in Pro Tools?

Why not?
From my experience, AT works better on PT than on Cubase or Logic. On Cubase you have to start from the same point, like PT, but also you have to push "correct" button every time you want AT does its work in graphic mode. I don't know why AT5 should prefer other DAWs but PT for running its new features.

The best would be a resizable display, like the two main PT windows.
BTW this is why I'm planning to put the third LCD in my studio, for plugins and Reason.

Because afaik ProTools doesn't 'provide valid time information' to AT. But for sure there are many improvements that can make you say 'it's worth it'...

They can sync AT to PT using Rewire.

I think that the increased size of the screen is not for folks who would have the keyboard visible, i.e. set-it-and-forget-it, hope-it-sounds-good use - but rather for folks who do it manually. For us, it's far more useful to have it larger. But I see your point that it doesn't need to be any bigger in auto mode. Reaktor has a resizable window...

It'll be interesting when we get a clarification on this. The preview said that that feature is "host" dependent. So, certain hosts must be left out. The question is: Which ones?

I'm afraid PT is still 'out'... but it's a PT problem. As it's written in the AT4 TDM OSX Readme file :
For Graphical Mode tracking, Auto-Tune does not receive time location information from Pro Tools. The implications are that the user must maintain an identical start point when tracking and correcting, and that the graphical mode buffer settings begin at the tracking start point.
