Question about bouncing and importing tracks
This is probably a silly question… so, sorry in advance. Here's my dilemma. First I bounce a track, mp3, WAV, AIFF, whatever. Then I import the track to my PT session. So far so good, right? Now, when I open the session back up, everything is as it should be… unless I delete the bounced file from my desktop, or whatever folder it may have been in on my computer.
I guess what I'm asking is, what is a smarter way to bounce and then import a file into my PT session so it doesn't disappear after I delete it from my computer? Thanks!

Re: Question about bouncing and importing tracks
Select your session's Audio Files folder as the bounce destination.

Re: Question about bouncing and importing tracks
That's one option(and usually the default), but....(my 2 cents only) I prefer to create a folder within the session folder(usually name it Mixes) and bounce to that folder. When you BTD, and import back into the session, the session is looking at wherever the file came from. Since it came from the desktop, and you deleted it, the session is still looking on the desktop for that audio file. Keeping it inside the session folder means the session will only search within that folder. PT11 actually does this by default
