Weird artifact rectangular box appearing on screen after upgrade

Can anyone advise as to how I can get rid of this?
I've upgraded to Yosemite.
Using Protools 11 (it's working fine)
Model Imac mid 2011
Have shut down, booted back up.
Also restarted in Safe Mode
Reset SMC
Reset NVRAM and PRAM
Under system preferences-Accessibility -Zoom, selected Show preview rectangle when zoomed out (this was suggested by one forum online)

The annoying box is still there intermittently.

Any and all suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I thought of that as well, but the problem is that when I try to grab the image the box disappears. Haven't had the issue for the last few hours.

Maybe I'll take a picture with my cellphone if it happens again.

Just an empty black outlined rectangle, small.

Is there a way to upload an image here? When I try to insert an image I'm asked for a url

You can upload from your computer by using the paperclip icon in the top row where you find the URL icon and font size etc .. Click the paperclip and choose location where you have the image you wanna post. Easy peasy

So judging by the image, this has nothing to do with Pro Tools as the box is in front of your web browser.

So, not sure posting here will be that useful. I’d be continuing to look into some of the accessibility functions of the Mac as it looks like an OS thing.

Weirdly enough, turns out there must be some kind of a bug with Yosemite and the voiceover option. I've disabled in it and no more issue! Found that idea on another forum where people were complaining about the same thing.

Thanks to all who replied to my post! I really appreciate it.

Hope this helps anyone else out there who may be encountering the same issue. What a relief to have that gone!

Hey, never noticed that little paper clip thingie! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Much easier than the round about way of uploading to Google drive!

I shall keep that in mind for the future!
