WTF is this? "Critical Update", then japanese stuff???

Hey guys,

always as I start my ProTools 8 it says "there´s a critical update available", and when I click on the detalis, I get to a chinese or japanese Digidesign site, whatever that is.


Can anyone help me out???

You got no reply because no one else has seen that problem. Where did you get PT? Download or disk? What version? Windows or Mac? What is the web site?

Hey guys, I´ve got ProTools v8.0 and have never been asked to update eversince. When I check for updates the same thing comes. Seems to be an update for ProTools 8.0.1

I´ve also got Mac OS X 10.5.8

Here´s the link if I click on the details. If you follow the update you should get to a japanese site which can not be changed to english (for me).

there is 8.0.1, 8.0.2, 8.0.3, 8.0.4, 8.0.5 plus a few cs updates along the way

depending on what CPU you have only some of these are an option to you

somewhere in you computer you probably have a japanese language pre turned on thats sending you to the japanese web page
