Default BEHRINGER BCF2000 ITS GREAT!!!!!!

Hi all!
I´ve just got one and it is realy great
Download the midi driver, the firmware update utility and the 1.07 firmware update and do the instalation in that order: Next dowload the protools legacy midi controler drivers and copy the hui.dll file to the dae controllers file, boot the behringer in hui mode, by turning it on while holding down the top buton on the fith channel strip, start protools go to settings chose periferials, midi controlers chose hui on the first option followed by BCF2000 in and BCF2000 out and you are set! Open up a session and watch those faders fly
Control Pan, Mute, Solo, arm tracks and control volume at the touch of a button!
As about touch sensitive I dont understand what the fuss is all about cause if you want to make fader ajustments to an automated track change the automation mode in protools to latch and all the fader adjusments you make with the BCF2000 fader on that channel are recorded.
The BCF2000 is not touch sensitive (it says so in the manual, bottom page 5)
It´s good to have a mixer feel in my hands again, no more [bleep] mouse and not so much drawing automation.....
First 2 monitors now a control surface, I aint turning back!

Can you report on the use of the rotary controls for plugin settings and such?

And what version of Protools are you using? 6.4 or 6.7?

Runs great on 6.4 cs9. You need to install the HUI controller files though, but thats done in leterally seconds. Those files are downloadable from digidesign right here for free.

So is anyone using this with 6.7, since there are not HUI drivers for 6.7?

Also, what about connecting more than one unit to have 16 or 24 faders available? If it's working that good as you say I may as well get a pair, considering is soo cheap .

A few more infos on plug in parameter adjustment would be nice; how does it behave in that regard?

Thanx

Yes there are. Check your install cd. If they didn't automatically install maybe you have to copy the driver over. I use a Mackie in HUI mode on 6.7. I think it was 6.4 that didn't automatically install them becuase they didn't get tested. But even with 6.4, I think the driver was on the install cd. You just had to put it in the proper folder.

So for those of you who are using it connected up via midi, do you now have no available midi ports to plug into? I already use the midi input for one of my keyboards, and would hate to have to only use one or the other at a time (the keyboard or the control surface). Has anyone else had issues with this?
