Default Midi IO Driver Package/Core Midi Server question

recently installed Pro Tools 7.4 on my OSX 10.5.2. machine

it should be noted that Logic is also installed on the same HD. (not sure if this is part of my problem.)

after installing PT, every time i boot up i get a folder in the dock named "CoreMidiServer.framework." that bounces repeatedly over and over. i have to "force quit" the folder each time in order for it to go away.

i'm assuming this folder lies within PT seeing as i've never encountered this error before.

has anyone ever seen this, or have any idea how i can get this to stop?

in addition...

the two options that i chose NOT to install were the "Digi Translator" and "Midi IO Driver Package". should i be installing these two items?

You should really install version 7.4.2pr if you're running Leopard OS and upgrade the latter to 10.5.3.

However, this thread on the Apple forum might help. As ever with these things, proceed at your own risk.
