Default Audio Interface Suggestion

Hi wondered if you could help,

I need some suggestions for an audio interface for a small project studio.

I'd need 8 Preamps ideally for a OSX Lion using ProTools 10.

I've got a budget of around £400

I've been looking at the Lexicon Ionix U82S and the Presonus Firestudio but it would be really helpful to get some input from you if possible.

Thanks.

Try the Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56.
Gives you nice PreAmps and a lot of flexibilty for your money.

I use a Presonus StudioLive 16.4.2 and works out pretty good and I use it for live mixing too ... built in recording interface at no additional cost is a huge plus! I often run out of 16 channels but it was the only model they had at the time ... I hope to get the 24ch someday ... or, add something like this Focusrite if they'll work together ...

The Focusrite seems like an awesome unit ... Going for $770 on eBay (proaudiostar) and $799 at B&H ... Sweetwater is $1000 ...

+1 for the Focusrite LS56 or Pro 40 - nice pres, versatile router software (MixControl), very stable with Pro Tools and great customer support.
