Pro Tools Application has stopped working!
Hello to EveryOne,
All of a sudden I get this message and: A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly.I've defragmented, re-installed Pro Tools, checked the system and still no dice. Has anyOne seen and FIXED this? Help!

IE8?
If that is a reference to Fire Wire, no. I just read at tech support that I should replace my USB external with a FireWire drive. Could that be the problem?

He's referring to Internet Explorer version 8.
It's been a problem with Pro Tools. And the USB drive is a bad Idea. You need either a secondary internal, external ESATA or a qualified firewire drive for your PT sessions. See the guidelines here: General Troubleshooting - Pro Tools LE on Windows (XP & Vista)

While the suggestions about IE8 and the USB drive are spot on, you're not really giving us enough information about your system to help you troubleshoot.
We need the information requested in the General Troubleshooting post stickied at the top of this forum to be able to really help you. Also, a list of plugins (instructions for posting that are in the General Troubleshooting post as well), and other software installed would also be extremely helpful, as it is quite likely to be the culprit.
