Default Command 8 fader noise?

I recently purchased a command 8 and noticed one of the faders makes 4 "click" noises when moving it from the bottom to top. Is this normal or should I return it for a new one?

Just a follow up, the noise I am refering to is a physical noise on the fader, not something in the audio path. Sounds like it may be coming from the motor-driven portion of it.

Default Re: Command 8 Fader Noise Possible Fix?

I suggest before you go to any expense of replacing fader units, that you remove each one in turn and check that the locating tabs next to the motor are in place, if they are not give them a light squeeze with a set of pliers to relocate them.

I had for weeks 2 noisy faders that where sticking and noisy, took each one out to clean and reseat connectors when I stumbled across this issue with the two that where noisy in comparison to the others that were not, apparently is its a design flaw by Alps they should be bent over to lock the slider and motor unit together.Refitted all check faders and ran utility mode and no noise from faders and full range of frequency response,so try that first only took about half an hours to do
