APart from anything else. Avid does not recommend updating to Mojave just yet...

You may want to check out this compatibility chart

It would appear that your version is not Mojave certified - at this point I don't believe any version of Pro Tools is Mojave certified...

The error you are seeing is a known limitation with older installers, you'll see this trying to install Pro Tools 10 on Mac OS X 10.10/higher. Pro Tools 10.3.10 was only qualified up through Mac OS X 10.8.5.

Mojave is not currently supported by any version of PT.

Ok cool, I guess I’m returning the Mac Book Pro then. Thanks to all for helping me out. I’m taking an online course for school so I might keep it. But I paid big bucks mainly because I know what generating big projects (wav files, audio editing, plug ins) can do to a computer.

If you're taking classes for PT you really should think about updating to a current version of PT. They may well be referencing things that can only be done in a more modern version of PT.

The odd thing is, I've been getting the message since before I updated to Mojave.

What operating system were you using before going to Mojave? PT10 last worked without major error on OSX 10.8.5 and the reason PT10 wasn't okayed for OSX 10.9.5 was because the PT uninstaller doesn't work. What error message were you getting?

But getting back to things you really should update to a newer version of PT.

pretty sure it came with high sierra 10.13 (which avid pro tool requirements' site also states to not be pro tools ready). looking to somehow speak to avid about mojave compatibility before going back to best buy though. if anyone has another number than the support you have to pay for number, it'd be immensely appreciated.
