Please recommend: Need Plug-in bundles for mixing & mastering

Lot's of good recommendations here. Depends on what you really want and like.

You could even look into something like EX Mix2 if you just want to call up presets.

I really like the iZotope Music Production Bundle, lots of tools for a pretty good price.

Nectar2 works great for dialog and voiceovers IMHO.

Lot's of people like the Slate stuff as well, and you could subscribe to it for a month for only $25

You should be able to demo most plugins, so start downloading and purchase what you like.

Waves Gold bundle is still an excellent way to get started. If you sign up for Waves email there are some amazing offers, one day or weekend specials. I'd try and get the bundles as it is a cost effective way to go.

I use these mixing and mastering tools all the time

Fab Filter Pro Lim or Massey 2007 limiter
Sonnox EQ for basics
Brainwork Digital BX3 for mastering (monomaker, mid side and handy tilt eq's) /Plug In Alliance
MAAG EQ4 - does great top end addition /Plug In Alliance
Massey VT3 - for mixing, adds weight and smooth top end just by inserting it, barely moving the dials if anything

Multiband compressor on steroids
Dynamic Spectrum Mapper /Plug In Alliance

Bus compressors / compressors
The Glue
VSC-2 / Plug In Alliance
Klanghelm MJUC - cheap and one of the MOST respected compressors on the market right now, sounds fantastic and includes 3 different compressor types WAY underpriced!

Although some round these parts seem to have beef with Mr. Slate, these plugins are some of the best in the business. Also for the low entry price the 'extended demo' is well worth checking out.
