Purchasing PT12
Hello,
I recently decided to make the move from Logic/Reaper to Pro Tools, I have taken my Pro Tools quals PT101 and PT110 and now wish to purchase a full version of Pro Tools 12 for my home setup. I have an iLock which i purchased to get the free month trial of Pro Tools which I used but has now expired. I am becoming very confused about how to buy. I found this deal on a UK site and spoke to them on the phone, they insisted it was the full version to to me it seems to be to cheap to be true... also it is confusing that you get a free interface (that i dont need) with the lite version and you then get a crossgrade to the full version. Also, is it true of all Pro Tools 12 to not be compatable with OSX Yosemite? http://www.gear4music.com/Recording-...-Interface/RUY Is the correct? If so I will buy it now. Apologies for the long post and thank you in advance. John |

Re: Purchasing PT12
If seller confirms you get PT12 and full year of standard support, I can't see what would be the problem. But woth that said, buying first DAW, safest would be buying straight from avid.com

Re: Purchasing PT12
There is absolutely no need to buy the overpriced full version from avid.com as long as there are interfaces bundled with PT Express and Crossgrades from PT Express to PT 12 still available.
I bought the Avid Fast Track Solo bundled with PT Express (90 €) and a crossgrade from PT Express to PT 12/11/10 (190€). I can only recommend that path of buying into PT 12, it will be the cheapest way to get into PT "vanilla" for some time i guess.

Re: Purchasing PT12
I would bet the Raven will work. The differences between 11 and 12 are fairly minor, apart from a few new(and small) features and the new subscription-based setup. Just thinking out loud
