XP support going bye bye, new embedded OS in the works for Venue?

Looks like Microsoft is dropping all XP support which means no more patches for vulnerabilities. Any plans for an embedded Win 7 OS update for Venue?

i guess this goes for XP home/server/professional but not for embedded systems. venue is, like many many others (ATM's for instance) embedded. so i'm guessing there is no reason to be afraid.

Hi Greg,

The embedded version of XP is available for several more years and can continue to be used for our desks. The embedded OS and "closed" nature of the VENUE system help mitigate against the types of vulnerabilities that could be used against the consumer desktop OS.
