Slooow startup/loading PT10
I have ridiculously long loading times starting up PT10.
It's actually right when i start it up, the icon bounces in the dock for at least one minute and then the PT10 screen comes up showing "Loading ProTools" and nothing happens for about another 2 minutes before it starts processing the plugins. That last part always goes smooth and quick, loading sessions as well. The weirdest thing is that i'm running the same setup at home just on my MacBook Pro and there's no issues on that. It just flies through the startup/loading process, up and running within 30 seconds. I have not disabled my Wifi or modified DHCP/static IP's at all on my laptop. On the MacPro i only occasionally hook up my iPhone via BT or cable for internet access. All my disks are excluded from Spotlight indexing. Any ideas?? Thanks..

Re: Slooow startup/loading PT10
Thanks.. I'll give it a try.
However my problem is not what this solution seems to fix since its related to loading sessions slowly. Mine loads superfast when i eventually get to that point. It's the whole process before that up til "loading plugins" which takes forever. Update will follow ofc..

Re: Slooow startup/loading PT10
So i tried the BerlinProAudio solution which made no difference.
I also tried to start PT with my expansion chassi disconnected, same thing. The weirdest thing is that i helped out a friend yesterday to install PT10 (native but nonetheless) on her MacPro (10.6.8) which is the exact same as mine and there were no issues at all starting up, it just flies through the whole process. So i did a second install on a fresh partition with 10.6.8 instead of Lion, no additional plugins installed and crossed my fingers But it's the same thing still. Grey hairs are rapidly approaching.. Any ideas anyone???
