Yep, it's cool... using it? not really. Nice thing is that the samples have a very smooth transition from one to the next. It seems to be a fairly unique tool. For $12.50 in the + upgrade program, it's well worth the money

Hi Ducky...
re: "For $12.50 in the + upgrade program" isn't the program included as one of the 2 "free" choices

Technically, it is 2 plugins for $25- ($99.95 for the PT7+ upgrade; $75- for PT7 only)... so one is $12.50

yes, I see the logic.. LOL
So back to Synchronic, what does this plug in actually do?
I read about it but somehow still not sure of it's purpose..
Do you need a midi controller of some sort to use it.

It's a looper of sorts. You import a loop and then you can either play it back as is or modify it to give it a different feel. It's not the most intuitive, but isn't terribly difficult either. You also don't need a MIDI controller for it. So hope that answers some of your questions.

Synchronic is almost like ReCycle, but it can be played live and tweaked on the fly. I've used it a little, and it really is fun.
