edit->cut fails (doesn\'t cut)
Hi,
I have a pro tools LE 6.7 session with several stereo tracks that I've recorded. I am trying to "cut" or otherwise delete a short section at the end of one of the tracks. I select the section by dragging the mouse across it. It turns dark as I expect it to. But when I click on Edit->Cut, the section is still there. I even selected the entire track by clicking on it in the right place and I can't "cut" that, either. I've successfully cut before, but I can't figure out what's different this time. I'm a novice user & a light-weight user. I looked up cut in both the menu guide and the reference guide, but didn't find any clues there. I really appreciate any help! Thanks, Bruce My computer setup: powermac g5, 160gb hard drive (I need to get another drive), OS 10.3.9 |

Re: edit->cut fails (doesn\'t cut)
Okay, I just figured it out myself:
The track was set to "volume" instead of "waveform". I don't know what you call that field, but it's in the info block on the left. I set it to waveform and "cut" worked just fine. |
