No sound from Mbox Pro
Hi,
Got Pro Tools 10 and Mbox Pro a few weeks ago. Today I upgraded to Pro Tools 10.3.2. I downloaded the mbox drivers as well. I recorded a couple tracks on a session. All seemed fine. Awhile later -- and I don't know just what I did in the meantime -- I was getting no sound from my Pro tools session. I soon discovered I wasn't getting sound from iTunes either. Ditto for Skype. When I powered off the Mbox, all of the applications could play through the computer internal speakers. I've restarted. Also tried installing the Mbox drivers again. Then tried uninstalling and installing the drivers. I've checked the hardware switches. I couldn't find a thread regarding this problem, so I opened this. Thanks for your help. It's pretty quiet here. Here's some test results... In the Audio/MIDI Setup there is a Configure Speakers option when Pro Tools Aggregate I/O is selected. With the Mbox off and the output set to internal speakers I could click on the image there and hear a test sound from the internal speakers. With the Mbox powered on, Audio/MIDI Setup looks like this... When Pro Tools Aggregate I/O is selected, I get test sound from the internal speakers regardless of whether or not the mbox "box" is checked. However, I do NOT get sound from iTunes. when Mbox Pro is selected (On the left side of the dialog -- NOT Pro Tools Aggregate I/O), there is no option for configuring speakers. And there is no sound from iTunes.
