In regards to serios motherboard:

1) He uses Gigabyte MA785G-UD3H. Can I use other Gigabyte 785 series motherboads such as GA-MA785GT-UD3H or Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H? - Not much difference in model numbers.

2) Is the motherboard serio uses, the Gigabyte MA785G-UD3H, DDR3?

3) Can I use the AMD II x4 620?

Thanks
The 620 and the 630 are the same processor. The 630 is a hair faster

Here is a rig I am planing to do. Its going to be a HTPC with the option of also being a DAW. Not sure if I will requirea CPU cooler or if these mobos will fit or be compatible.

Can get a Zalman PC cooler if need be. Any tips or recommendations.

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H rev 1.3? - prefer this one?
OR
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 785G ddr3 Motherboard
RAM: 4GB Kingston DDR3 1333MHz
HDD: Seagate ST31000528AS 7200.12,1TB,7200RPM
ODD: LG GH22-NS50 22X
CASE: Antec NSK 2480B
PSU: comes with case
TV TUNER: Hauppauge HVR-2200
if I could change one thing on my rig it would be the MOBO( I got my Mobo for $50 bucks with my 630 and that's really why I chose it). I'd go with one that will work with the 6 core AMDs. Even if you use a dual or quad chip, at least you'll have the option for a 6 core in the future. The stock cooler is fine as long as you don't overclock and really, a phenom II x4 955 will probably get better performance than an Athlon 630 overclocked with a cooler. And the price will be almost the same(depending on your cooler cost).

Well never mind. Looks like the MA785G-UDH3 w/ latest bios (F5E) supports the new 6 core chips:

Hit CPU support link

Just keep in mind that this is by all means a budget board.

Mine (785GM) will upgrade too. The X6 1055T is sitting here. I'm just waiting for G.Skill to return my RAM.

Can't wait to hear about it's pro tools performance! Are you still planning on doing a comparison on the Athlon 620 and the $99 intel chip?

Yep. the E7400 is 2.8 GHz like the 1055. The 620 is 2.6 I wish I could spend the coin on a x630 since they are 2.8 GHz also but having bought the 620 already I can't justify it. I'm sure I will be keeping the 6 core and selling the x620 if any one is interested.

The HDD's. Memory and Video card will be the same across the board.

When I saw that my mobo was getting the 6 core support, I started planning on how I was going to fit a 1055 into my budget. I had to step back and convince myself that I didn't need it right now. Knowing that I have a nice upgrade path will have to suffice.
