Default Can't get Profire 2626 input to display

Pretty new to PT... we have PT10 on a new MacBook Pro, 10.7.2, Profire 2626 with a 400 to 800 firewire cable. All latest drivers.

When I do a Track-New-Audio Track leaving defaults and then go to the mixer I don't see the PF2626 listed as a possible input. I am looking under I/O, then interface. It says "In 1 (Mono) - path n/a". Do I need to set up a path for the PF2626 to use? We used PT8 M-Powered on a different system with no issues, including using this PF2626. I'm sure it's something stupid... thx.

You say you left the defaults, but have you tried going into I/O Setup and actually selecting "Default" under the input tab? This is a good way to start when troubleshooting I/O setups.

Got it! I tried the default on I/O and that did not work, thanks so much for the suggestion.

What fixed it was Setup-Playback Engine, selected the PF2626. Now the PF shows up as an available interface on all tracks. Sigh.

Ah, yes the interface does indeed need to be selected :) Glad you got it sorted.
