Digi 001, Logic 5, Win XP and MIDI interface.

Is it possible for me to use the DIGI 001 as my MIDI interface to connect my controller keyboard to? I use Logic 5.5.1 and run it on Win XP Professional. Should I use the ASIO driver 6.1.1 for this or should I use Direct I/O? How do I set my keyboard up throught he damb DIGI 001? I use virtual synth only no modules. Please help?
