Question Evaluating Autotune 5 TDM with PT 8 HD

Hi,

I was requested to use that T-Pain Effect with Autotune 5.

I downloaded the demo, so considered buying it. However, It keeps making some glitches as If audio regions had bad crossfades.

a)I consolidated files and these clicks still continued

b)I disabled quick punch, loop playback and no sucesss.

c) I enabled/disabled Delay compensation Short and also no success at all.

Funny is that if you play the same section several times, sometimes it does not click and in others, it clicks.

File is not clipped and my MAC 2007 Pro 2.66 Quad has 5GB of RAM.

I use heavier plug-ins like Neon HR (RTAS) or Revibe and I never have these clicks.

Also, I opted for Autotune 5 instead of Autotune 6 because one funnction of its Preferences has been eliminated in Autotune 6 Evo.

SO.. will I have to change Host Processors, HW Buffer Size, CPU usage çlimit and Size to work properly?

At the moment HW Buffer Size is at 512, Host employing 3 processors, CPU Usage at 95%, 48 voices, Delay Short, SIze Level 2, Cache is normal.

The site does not mention which OS version is more appropriate for Autotune 5.

I am with PT HD 8.0.1cs3 OS 10.5.5 - PT HD2 Accel PCI-E.

Thanks

i have AT6 EVO

i use it when requested under protest.

but sometimes you can do some creative twisted sick little things

the optimum word is sparingly..... (and sometimes gently)

hi alecio,
we have very similar specs as you
and have both evo & at5, however both rtas.

for evo, tdm is crippled;
lacking real time pitch shifting,
formant correction,
& throat modeling.

i have also seen other users post with evo tdm buggums
here, both plugs work smooth.

also, if you purchase evo
it comes with ver5 included.

the biggest diff for us in evo was the improvement in tracking;
less octave switching.

but add to that real ability to copy/paste
set your own keyboard shotcuts,
resizable gui,
better transposition quality,
object based retune speed settings
and the new note tool has sped up our workflow considerably.

so, i'd suggest trying/buying evo native;
getting 5 for free,
only downer is evo sucks about 100mb of ram each instance.
otherwise, solid.

b.o.l.
e

e.p.s. which pref are you missing from 6?

Hi,

I didn´t know buying Evo6 we would take 5 for free.
But when using TDM, have you guys changed those parameters dramatically?

A few rappers like to track while listening to the output of Autotune!! So TDM seems to be a much better solution.

I will also evaluate the lighter version, Autotune EFX version.

In fact I was more satisfied with Melodyne .

I will retry today doing the bounces with different settings. What a drag...

Thanks

hey a, you may already know this,
but stick a tdm plug in bypass b4 your instance of a-t native
and you can trak through it fine.
(may need to adjust your buffer a bit...)

A RAP producer told me the slider function at the Option page is not longer at AT6. ( I forgot the name of the function).
