Default Anyone else having trouble with HDX not showing up in 12.6.1?
About every third time I open PT 12.6.1, it defaults to "Pro Tools aggregate I/O" and HDX is not listed as an option under Playback Engine.

I have to quit... relaunch... select HDX... quit... relaunch.. cross my fingers that it will show up.

Anyone else having trouble with this?

2012 Mac Pro 12-core
macOS Sierra 10.12.1
Pro Tools 12.6.1

You need to find the Digilink asset in your iLok account and move it to your iLok.

Which slot do ypu have your HDX card in?

We have had best luck with slot 3 and 4 and we also had to assign lanes with proper "power" for running the HDX cards inside.

How is your system setup?

You should try a other slot. About a year I started having an issue where my mac starts up and doesn't recognize one of my UAD cards. I always finds the HDX but it sounds similar.

I cleaned the slots and moved the UAD cards around and it got marginally better.

Also wondering if there is another app grabbing the driver for HDX.

Yeh maybe I'll try that... I never had any problems until I installed 12.6.1 (fresh install on a new drive)

Strange that it's just started doing this
