Cool backing track help??

Ok so I'm trying to figure out how my band can use the backing tracks that I recorded in pro tools 8 live?? The problem I'm having is that I've panned the tracks left and the click right but the click is still lightly coming through the left and I can't figure out why. I've tried recording the click to a stereo audio track, then splitting it into mono and taking out the left and still the same result. I've tried making the output of the click out of just 2, the right, and still the same. So I'm not real sure how to fix the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I've seen this done successfully many times so review your panning and tracks. Is it possible that the click is being fed via an AUX send to somewhere? Or maybe someone had too much click in their phones when recording backing tracks and its really bleed onto one of your AUDIO tracks? Does it go away if you mute the click? If not, then solo each of your individual tracks and listen for click bleed.

If you are using itunes to create an .mp3 track make sure you change the settings in itunes to "normal stereo" and not "joint stereo". Bounce your main track from protools with your panning hard left/ right whatever into a stereo track, then create your .mp3 as folllows.

my buddy had the same problem. hope this helps!!

if all else fails, use a free 3rd party converter called 'Max' to create and convert audio formats as well.

Well its def. not headphone bleed bc eveything was done straight DI and its really mostly a bunch of synth and keyboard stuff. The click does go away if you mute the click track itself and its 100% panned. But even when I solo the click I can still hear it just barely out of the one side its not panned to at all. I don't get it. Ha.

Are you using a separate hardware mixer? It could be crosstalk on the channels or master out from that.

A:)

I have had the exact same issue happen without any solution to a fix.

My band at the time just had 808 hits for our backing track. So absolutly no chance of bleed from headphones or anything.

808s on mono track panned all the way to the left and click track panned all the way to the right. when I created the wavs all appeared fine.

We loaded the samples onto a Roland SDP-8 sample pad and ran them through our PA at practice and noticed that we were hearing a click track.

The only thing I could think that caused this was the sample pad because thats the extra piece in the chain.
