Google this and you will find the info on many places.

Yeah, it's on the internet, people said it, etc..

But I think "completely re-written code" is a bit of a stretch, don't you? To be quite honest, it feels more like a 64-bit port to me. If it was completely re-written, we wouldn't be seeing the same old errors, would we?

Just trying to be fair and avoid history re-writing itself...

No point for me to speculate and I am just posting what Avid said /
A complete rewrite from the ground up as they were saying and what was done or not done is nothing I have any knowledge of.

Lol this isn't April is it?? So you have to pay extra for more tracks even though your system is capable of running hundreds? What next how many compressors we can use or EQ's?

LOl well 2019 was the time to decide and that just hit the nail on the Avid coffin, Studio One it is..what a croc.

I am incredibly disappointed since there is no built-in coffee machine in the new version...

Every instance of 3rd party non avid plugins inserted triggers a micro transaction. Also a insert fee for each avid plug in used. So avid gets paid everytime.

Introducing Avid caffeine. It speeds up your sessions and introduces additional jitter to the clocking.

Any word yet on how much these extra voice packs are going to cost?

(I forsee them giving away voice packs as insentives to renew your support fees, or as freebies with upgrades, subscriptions etc...).

Why not go the whole hog and limit, say, the number of edits you can do per session? Or maybe the number of automation moves? You want more than 5 colours? That'll cost you. "Watch this ad!" to continue working on your track. This business model could run and run...
