Default new error when trying to install protools 6.9 on my laptop

normally i wouldn't be doing this, but recently i have a need to put my protools 6.9 application on my ibook g4, for the sole purpose that i need to have an automated click track while playing live lately as well as one track of a prerecorded sample playing.

intentions aside, and before everyone jumps on my for trying to install 6.9 to a laptop that couldn't handle it if i was using it for serious recording, know that i know theres probably a better program or way to be doing this, but i don't really have the time. also know that this isnt my normal computer/external hd setup i use for recording.

ive searched through all the forums and tried reinstalling and uninstalling several times, making sure i clean out old libraries, etc. etc.

but i still keep getting this error

"The application "Pro Tools LE 6.9" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "4<Pro Tools PPC dbg><Pro Tools PPC dbg><DAE><FreeFic>""

does anyone know what that means?

You didn't list the OS version of your iBook.

sorry, os 10.4.9, the same as my imac i normally run PT sessions on.

basically, what i am trying to do is use reason 2.0 to create samples than i can then replay live, but i need protools because i also want to have a click track that only i (the dummer) hear live in my in-ears. i can't do this just using reason, because they're click track is not assignable to a certain output like protools is.

any help is still appreciated.

a) 10.4.9 isn't supported. You could try re-installing it with the Apple combo PPC updater to see if that helps, but generally you shouldn't upgrade your OS unless it gets approved by Digi.

and

b) You need at least version 6.9.2 to run on any version of 10.4.x. PT 7.3.x is recommended but your ibook may not meet the system requirements for it.

shoot, you're right. im running 10.4.8 on my imac. i will try reinstalling with that thing.

and as far as installing 6.9, i kind of have to first, then dl the upgrade to 6.9.2 once i can get pt on here.

if it just totally does not work, does anyone have any suggestions to tackle my live sound problem? i need my reason 2.0 session to play, but i also need an automated click track to come through to my in ear monitors seperately. any cheap solutions would be appreciated.
