PT 11 Audio Device INIT Error
My issue is that I can't PT to accept my ZOOM USB Soundcard as a playback device .
PT nags about not being able to init the current playback device and to check out if it's confgured correctly . I've disabled the ZOOM in Windows sound settings and set my onboard Realtek HD Audio as the main output device . The PC is a eMachines ET 1870 Desktop PC with Windows 10 / latest updates, 8 GBs of RAM and no other apps installed, except those for audio production . Please somebody help me out ASAP, - Z - |

Re: PT 11 Audio Device INIT Error
Things to try:
1-Re-install the Zoom ASIO driver 2-Change the USB cable 3-Move to a different USB port(not the adjacent port as they usually work in stacked pairs) 4-Hold the N key while opening PT(to go directly to the hardware setup page) and try to select the Zoom. Did it ever work before? If it did, what changed? Any new software? Re-check all Windows system tweaks(the last Windows 10 updates have reset some for many of us, especially the one to disable Power Management on USB ports).

No ... it's never worked . No such soft installed, that could affect Pro Tools operation like this . Windows settings are pretty much untweaked except Graphics adjusted to performance, Power Management (High Performance) and Virtual Memory set to fixed size . I just installed Pro Tools First 2019.5.0 to test the audio interface ; same problem occurs . When I use ASIO4ALL, I get playback with the ZOOM ... but the audio is noisy, etc . |

Re: PT 11 Audio Device INIT Error
Turned this very same PC to a Hackintosh (Mac OS X High Sierra) ;
Funnily the ZOOM Audio-IF is working to the MAX there . With no problems whatsoever . Any Clues, Guesses, etc . - zW - |
