Pro Tools 2018 with a Zoom R24
I've been considering purchasing a Zoom R24 and using it as my main audio interface. It's packed with features; the 8 inputs and recorder particularly appeals to me.
I'm on Windows 10 and according to Zoom's compatibility document, linked below, the R24 doesn't work: https://www.zoom-na.com/sites/defaul...software_E.PDF I contacted Zoom asking if there will ever be compatibility on Windows 10. The reply was unexpected: the rep told me the R24 was already compatible with Pro Tools 2018 on Windows 10. I replied, asking the rep if he was sure and pointing him towards the above link. He said the only reason Pro Tools is listed as incompatible on Windows 10 is due to the R24's control surface DAW function uses Mackie and Pro Tools uses HUI. However, this doesn't quite add up, as the control surface doesn't work with Pro Tools on the Mac either, as far as I know. What do you think? Re: Pro Tools 2018 with a Zoom R24
yes 2 years late. I am sure you have found out by now that the r24 is an interface but the sliders are bypassed when used as a interface(why on God's green earth..I do not know)
