Default Restoring your \"Preview\"?

Hi
From time to time I hit the wrong button. Usually there is an undo. However, if you exit preview mode without punching your changes (or something strange happens, whatever), there is no way to go back to your "Preview". I realize that Preview Suspend exists for this purpose, but is there any means of restoring critically important mix data after you have hit the Preview button by mistake and exited Preview mode?

It would be nice if that could be added to the "Undo" queue or something.

hmmm ... I kinda know what you mean but only partially agree.

The thing with the undo cue is that I more often then not have controller undo's set to NO to be gin with. In which undo cue would you have it in ?

I personally would hate to see it being added to the edit cue's

Would this kinda semi workaround be any good ?

- Instead of staying in the action softkeys menu, why not go to the snap menu's instead and save your preview to a snap preset ? (press and hold a snap key)

Is that any good ?

I mean ... I usually do a preset of the entire desk's status before I start changing anything anyhow .... that's the position I can go back to and add sequences of that along the way.

On top of that ... it has some advantages the undo cue doesn't have : they get stored with the sessions for example.

I know it's not quite the same as an undo cue butr if you think about it in a way those presets can do similar things ... just a matter of making yourself 'snap' points you can go back to.

If you do a 'do to all' before entering preview mode (well it works after entering preview mode as well but you save a step by doing it this way) you can instantly save the entire desks 'state' at that point in time to a snap.

play around with it ... try different combinations of it. I'm almost sure you can draw your own use out of them and adapt them to your personal workflow.
