I noticed that Waves is NOT on the list. Has anyone heard anything about Waves' plans for AAX?

They will have installers ready for download on November 1st.
That's pretty cool news. I think I'll hang onto my Eventide Anthology bundle.

All our plug-ins are available today for download in AAX format (for Mac, Windows versions will follow), including 6 entirely free plug-ins. The update is free for existing customers.

The good news with AAX Native is that it's entirely compatible with existing RTAS versions so that the upgrade path is seamless.

If you have your copy of Pro Tools 10, you might want to check them out! You can also see our plug-ins demoed on the Avid booth at the AES Show.

Unfortunately, it looks like these Avid/Digidesign distributed TDM only plug-ins are going to be abandoned and not ported over to AAX format (it says they are not compatible, but I read it as they never will be compatible since the unknown ones are not listed. Also, Amp Farm was previously announced as EOL'd, and TC has previously EOL'd its TDM plugs such as TC Tools in the past):

Please note that the following TDM-only plug-ins are not AAX-compatible:

Dolby Surround Tools
Line 6 Amp Farm
Line 6 Echo Farm
TC Electronic TDM plug-ins

Waves PS22 Stereo Imager
This is starting to turn into a nightmare for me...

My every session includes number of Echo Farm's as for me this is the best delay with coolest emulations and I have a large number of different TC plugs runningn all the time!

So I won't be able to open any of these sessions will I? NO.

Come on Avid! Echo Farm is your own thing, make it work!! And get TC and Waves running or it will be Mega Bad!

Of course it is very cool to see new developers joining in but without the big ones working I see no way to start using the new system, seriously!

I've lost Lexiverb back in the day from 5 to 6 and I still miss it I'm not going to loose any of the tools important to me anymore. period. TC and Waves and Line6, make them work! Please!

but the real question is, why the hell they have dropped tdm?
it was already a proprietary format...

they should at least make us able to use them in emulation mode over the new powerfull hdx cards

I'm just going to stay with what I have (TDM 3) until all the major plugins are AAX. Not going to pay the $200 Waves update plan until they do either. Money drives everything. If this hurts the companies wallets, they will get motivated. Economics 101.

I'd pay good money to have someone port EchoFarm to AAX. Who's with me? Shall we start a fund?

First... TDM still works fine in PT10.

Second... TDM cannot be rewritten for 64 bit, and TDM cards cannot host 64 bit plugins. If we want a 64 bit Pro Tools, TDM has to go.
