12.8 (native) + os x 10.12.5 stable?

hey all

i've had my head down working away with PT11 and 10.9.5 for several years now.

pro tools has recently started to sputter and cough -- it seems to hate sound toys plugins now, and the 4th processor (on my 2012 mac mini) goes crazy pretty regularly.

instead of reinstalling my current system, i'm thinking maybe it's time to move forward with sierra and PT12.

i've done some searching around, but haven't found a ton of specific information on the most recent iterations of both: PT12.8 (native) and os x 10.12.5.

how are you doing with this setup? stable? a deadly hellscape?

i'd love to hear anyone's experiences, and apologies if this has been covered ad nauseam -- i couldn't find much via google.

Hello! Last year or so I'm working in Pro Tools 12.4 on 10.8.5 (pretty stable combination) and few days ago decided to update my Mac Pro (Mid 2010) to macOS Sierra.
I was a true 10.8.5 adept, but in my experience, 10.12.6 with Pro Tools 12.8 works faster and smoother on my 2.8QCX... I know, I don't have enough time to test it yet, but maybe it helps you a little.
The one thing is a new macOS interface and it's... New. Not worse, not better - just new. After four years on 10.8.5 I move forward and feel so right.
