Default CD Text

We're using PT 6.1 and Mac OS 10.2.8. Other than the System 9 Waverunner Pro product, any ideas about how to include CD Text?

Who is really responsible for including the text? The studio, the mastering facility, the manufacturer? We have a little project for a car maker who wants to include CD Text to help explain the features of their car. But we've never done this before and all the mastering facilities in L.A. (well, three of the very biggest) don't do CD Text either.

Any ideas?

Lou

Roxio Toast will work. The manufacturer (& sometimes mastering facility) is the responsable of including your "text" in the CD.

I do both recording and mastering, and I use Wavelab (on PC Windows) for the final part (PQ markers etc.) of the CD mastering process.
Recently I placed CD text with Wavelab on the CD sent to the record company for duplicating and surprise, all the text was gone on the pressing !
I haven't investigated this yet but somewhere in the pressing process (glass mastering maybe ?) CD text can get lost

By the way for those who use Plextor burners on PC, there is a utility called Plextools that allows you to add cd text whilst copying a CD
