Default About to sell my desk and get channel strips

I am finally purchasing a TDM system and I will be selling my (2) beautiful M3 Tube Trackers in exchange for my Procontrol desk, however I need at least a few excellent quality channel strips for eq and possible dynamics sculpting. Can any of you make a suggestion as to which channel strips are the biggest sounding? I recently purchased a Focusrite ISA 115 and it is incredible. I have been eyeballing the Amek channel in a box but have not been able to demo it yet. Any suggestions and reasons would be greatly appreciated. I mainly work hip-hop and electronic and I desire to keep the big analog feel that I get with my Tube Trackers.

Preamp/ and or eq units that I think sound great are the Universal Audio 2610, Vintech audio....any of their boxes have a nice color...I have the 473 but they make units with less channels. The original Demeter all tube pre is very nice also. The nice thing about a bunch of preamps vs a mixer is that you can have a bunch of colors. That said, how much are you asking for your tube trackers??? I have been interested in maybe acquiring a pair of those for orchestral work.email me your info
thanks

Also, check out the Brent Averill Neve and Calrec refurbs. The Calrecs are less well known, but excellent, and Averill gets them to be like new.

The brent Averill stuff is great (I have 2) but if you want EQ too, take a look at the Chandler .

At $2100 per channel, I don't see how you are gonna do any better.

Get Distressors for your compression.
