Default Digitest failure - HD2 Core card

Last week, after experiencing static/white noise blasting through my system on input record enable, I ran Digitest. I had a Digitest HD Core card failure test result with 3 failed test criteria. Process card was OK. Among them was "tdm2 bank swap failed." I sent the card in to Digidesign and they sent me a replacement refurb card. After installing, I noticed the same type static/white noise sound on record input enable. I ran the Digitest and it comes up with almost the exact 3 failures again! I have tried all the usual solutions from zapping the PRAM, reseating the card, putting in only the Core card, changing the slot locations, trashing all prefs, etc. Could Digi have sent me a second bad card, possibly because it may be a common problem? Maybe my G4/Dual 1 Gig be trashing the card due to some hardware problem. What to do?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">That's not out of the realm of possibility. Do you have a back-up G4 to test the card in?

Digi is sending out a replacement. Lee, I do have a backup G4 and I might try the replacement card in that before I install it in my main Mac. Thanks for the tip.
