Default MacBookPro Flaking out

I have been successfully using PT LE/MBox2Mini on my mbp. I was going well with PT but if I try to manage sound of my mbp with the MBox disconnect things get flakey. For example, I try to listen to iTunes through my internal speakers and there is no sound. I open the Preferences and look under Sound and it says that Headphones are plugged in. So I plug in headphones and then sound starts coming out of the mbp build in speakers.

I have rebooted the computer several times. I have even rebooted while holding in command/option p & r. Any tips or thoughts.

This is the PT TDM forum. Please note that there is a forum dedicated to ProTools LE and its various hardware options (scroll down from from the DUC’s main page and you’ll see it). While most of the PT software is the same for both platforms, each has its own set of exclusive compatibility requirements, features, issues and problems. Therefore, most answers to such will vary also—highlighting the wisdom of posting on the appropriate forum.

Good luck.

Sounds to me likely that your jack on the computer is messed up, I had that happen to my iPhone, kept saying I was on headphones, it was something physical in the headphone jack.
