11r works right out of the box with Line 6 Pod XT live

Just thought I would share that I plugged my Line 6 Pod XT live into the 11r (midi) and all of the controls work right out of the box. WooHoo. I'm new to this part of the forum, so maybe it's not such great news. But I was thrilled that I don't have to buy a controller and it's a setup I'm very familiar with.

Everything works? Like turning effects On/Off, changing rigs, accessing tuner, using wah and volume pedals?

Yes. Well the tuner I didn't try. But wah volume effects mod delay and distortion anyway (there is no switch for f 1 or fx2) I was pleasantly surprised :)

And yes Benoni the tuner works as well. I'm thrilled that this is working out better than I thought. I love this thing. Gonna work it into my JCM 900 into a 4/12 tonight and see how it sounds through a tube power section. I'm psyched. Only drawback to my setup is the lack of a tremolo stomp box effect. But not the end of the world I can work in the amp models with it.

and you can scroll through rigs? Do you need to change modes first?

so everything except Fx1 and Fx2?

Well since I'm new to the Eleven world.
I can bank through A, B, C etc.
Then select 1, 2, 3 or 4 per bank

So yes I can scroll.
I used my XT live for tuner, wah volume and some FX in front of my marshall. So I'm very used to the set up. And it works the same way with the 11R so no learning curve. Plus I can name the patches so they match on the floor, and if I really need an effect I could run it through the FX loop to boot. I'm thrilled.

Edit: Just to let it be known, I had to set up the 11r to send CC in the midi setup on the device. In order to get the XT live to react to scrolling through patches from the 11r's controls.

Thanks for that additional info. That sounds like a nice setup, especially if you are already familiar with it.

My FLextone III is the same way. The FP controls the 11R. Except for distortion cause the FLex has none.
