Default 7.4 midi timing problems

Currently loving 7.4 but has anyone else noticed serious timing problems with the midi clocking in RTAS instruments? Say i use Guru or Reason rewired, the timing is all over the place! Even on a very simple pattern a (say a 16th arp repeat) it is extremely sloppy/inconsistent/unuseable.
This also happens in TDM plugs like McDSP's Synth One (arpeggiator)
Is this a bug we need to wait to get sorted or is it just me?!

Digi?

have you tried selecting an input on your instrument track ie 1-2 or any other input 3-4 etc.?

Default Re: 7.4 midi timing problems

This sounds very similar to a problem I've been having using ProTools LE v 7.3.1 (not yet tried 7.4). Playing back anything midi was totally erratic and unuseable.

I came across the blog pasted in below called "Midi is Jumbled" describing a similar problem which suggests a Windows Hotfix for Dual Core 2 Duo processors :

(cutting and pasting the above text should take you there)

I installed the XP patch suggested by spkGuitar and it now all seems to work !!

Hope this helps.
