\"Option -\" command not working?
I've grown accustomed to using "Option -" to toggle all tracks between waveform and volume automation views in the edit window. This appears to be broken in 6.7 cs8. Sometimes it works once- sometimes I can toggle once by holding "control option -", but I can't toggle all tracks back again without option clicking on the track view drop down menu.
I'm running a dual 2G G5 with the standard apple keyboard. All Apple keyboard shortcuts are turned off in System Preferences. The "-" key still works by itself to toggle one track view. Other shortcuts I use all seem to be working fine. Where'd it go?? |

Re: \"Option -\" command not working?
Never Mind...
I suspect a bit of coffee in the Option key. My Options are open once again. |

Re: \"Option -\" command not working?
I've seen the same intermittent behavior with this combo as well. might not just be the coffee!

Yep, I'm having trouble again, with a different Mac keyboard- is this a bug?

Re: \"Option -\" command not working?
Is this your problem?
Problem: Any mono or stereo audio track whose output in the output section of the mix window is not set to a hardware output cannot have its waveform/volume view toggled with the "-" key. Reproducible: Yes, 100% Steps to reproduce: 1. Create new mono or stereo track (probably the same with surround, but I'm not working that way). 2. Change the output of the track in the mix window from a physical hardware output to a bus, or nothing. 3. Go to the edit window. 4. Press the "-" key. What should happen: The view of the track in the edit window should toggle from waveform to volume. What does happen: The view of the track in the edit window does not change. If it does change, you cannot change it back with a subsequent press of the "-" key. Severity: Annoying! If you do not use a hardware output in the output section, and instead use internal bussing or send audio to the hardware output via the sends section, you cannot toggle your views! There is no convenient workaround for this! If this is what you are complaining about, keep complaining! It will only get fixed if we generate enough noise to get it noticed!

Re: \"Option -\" command not working?
haven't tried this but when I have experienced it, it was random. In a session, one day it would work and one it wouldn't.

Re: \"Option -\" command not working?
Acually, for me it works one moment and not the next- in the same session, with the same insertion, and so on. No rhyme or reason I can suss out, and unrelated to output assignments.
