how do i acquire pro tools 11 license after trial's ended?

I have the ilok2 and my protools trial just ended, how do i go about just getting a license to get back up and running. is there a way to just buy a license without having to order the whole thing? been surfing and find a simple solution. any help would be much appreciated.

also, is the student version crappier than the regular?

No, Student is the same software with a special conditions on the license and upgrades

thank you for the reply, but i have a new macbook pro that does not have dvd drive. looking for a quick download solution, since i already have ilok2 and don't need any hardware?

If you own a previous version of Pro Tools, you can purchase an upgrade to Pro Tools 11, either from the Avid Store or any authorized Avid Dealer.

Or if you qualify as a student, you can purchase the same upgrade from an authorized educational reseller.

Any of those upgrades would give you a permanent iLok license for Pro Tools 11 Bundle (which includes Pro Tools 10).

And downloads for all of the above. The software is exactly the same for Pro Tools whether it is a student license or not, only the iLok license is different in that academic licenses cannot be transferred/resold to someone else.

If you own no previous version of Pro Tools, then you would need to purchase a new (not upgrade) version of Pro Tools 11 from any of the above resellers.
