The session only had a stereo music mix and a few vocals tracks. 12.3 is the only version of PT on my drive.
So I bought a new 480gb SSD and did a fresh Captain install and PT12.3 is the only DAW. It is slightly more stable but I have crashes when editing/fading/clip gaining and mostly seems to be when zooming in and try to edit. I edit fast, so it seems when i am really cursing it will crash..

Anymore ideas?? or is an update needed?

Have you tried turning the new clip transparency off? I turned it off yesterday and edited a drum track last night with no crash's. Still to early to say for sure, but I do think that is linked to it.

Finding PT12.3 to be very unstable and starting to make me look bad in sessions. Anytime I get deep in editing audio, MIDI, etc it will no doubt crash. Tried a fresh drive, an old drive, and 10.9.5 and 10.11.5. With no luck..

May have to move back to PT11 for a bit, but that would be so sad, as "commit" is my favorite thing on earth..

This is the crash I am getting about 10 times a day..

Default Pro Tools 12.3 - more info

Hi BTW
I am a d-command user. Have you notice that in 12.3.1 the susp groups switch doesn't work anymore?
Anybody has something like this happening?

It works fine here. I would try to trash PT preferences. If that doesn't work, try to un-declare/declare the console in the Peripherals page.

Thank you Stig.
I'll try that. I been using my backup preference file for a long time now, using PT preferences app. If my pt erase the preferences (it does that a lot I think for using 10HD & 12 HD on the same system) Then I restore my backup preferences and rapidly I can get to work again because the preferences contain all the D-Command configuration.
So I thing is time to begin in zero to re configure a clean trash of preferences.

I have been trying to move slower when editing/zooming and this is causing a couple less crashes. I actually am always saving right before moving or clip gaining to be safe.

But I really start to see crashes when "Nudging" "Clip Gaining" "Grabing Regions".

So is this is something with using hard drives ?

Or since I have a 10gb disk buffer the audio should live in my RAM. So is this a Memory issue??

I will try going back to the "normal" setting in disk cache and see if this helps.
