7.2-User-definable default EQ & Dynamics question

in 7.2 the User-definable default EQ & Dynamics says that it is a Icon feature.
Will this work only if you have a icon console?
or will it work on any 7.2 session?

No,

the defaults will also be available in the pull-down menu in any setup.

No they don't work on any system, only icon i think!

They work on any system - what happens is when you go to select a plugin on an insert - and the plugin menu comes up - on the very top will be both your EQ and Dynamics selection. So its easy to select - as it comes up first on the list of plugins. Very handy!

Like what favourites used to be or still is!! command + shift then select a plugin and it becomes a favourite at the top of the list.
