Avid Pro Limiter: Range Meter?

Hi There,

Can anyone give me a primer on how to use the "range" meter in the Avid Pro Limiter? Is this equivalent to the dynamic range measured in such plugins as Bx Meter or TT Dynamic Range Meter?

Any thoughts on what sort of levels we should be aiming for in the LU system?

According to the manual, this meter "Displays the range of the processed signal level over time in LU". It seems to be averaged though, similarly to the integrated loudness. Anyone have any light they can shed on this?
