Pro Tools 7.4LE with Music Production Toolkit
I resurrected my old G5 with Mac OS Tiger. I've got PT 7.4LE installed with an Mbox2. I have an original iLok with the MPT license on it and legacy iLok drivers installed.
Pro Tools runs just fine but I'm only getting the 32 voiced tracks instead of the 48 that the toolkit license is supposed to get me. Anyone have any idea what I've forgotten? Was there a specific install associated with the MPT license?

Re: Pro Tools 7.4LE with Music Production Toolkit
Multiple hard drives required:
http://akarchive.digidesign.com/supp...lkit_Guide.pdf Chapter 3: Session and Track Features – page 9 Music Production Toolkit lets you play or record up to 48 simultaneous stereo or mono tracks. Higher track counts are only supported with multiple hard drives and faster Digidesign-qualified systems.

Re: Pro Tools 7.4LE with Music Production Toolkit
Yeah at the time Digidesign specified that an approved system had to have all the media files spanning across multiple drives. But that was only a media requirement. Multiple drives are not a necessity for actually enabling the toolkit expansion.

Re: Pro Tools 7.4LE with Music Production Toolkit
Thanks unkJE, it was an installer I’d forgotten about. After rooting around in my gear closet I found an old backup with the original toolkit installer. I then found the download for toolkit 2.
I’m now getting 48 voiced tracks in PT 7.4 LE.
