Some ideas for the Pro Tools developers
All,
Not sure if this is available as I am not quite the KEYBOARD shortcut master, but..... I think that it would be a killer feature if you could do incremental db levels by selecting the track and use the arrow keys to go up a .1db. Then SHIFT select and that would make it 1db increments. This would be especially cool if you had a GROUP say and wanted to do precise increases per group. Again, not sure if this is already available, but working this weekend and granted I have the faders and all, but sometimes mouse mixing works better. Just select the tracks needed and arrow up.... Simple and effective. Need more... SHIFT-arrow up or down and 1 db increments... Later, - Doc

Re: Some ideas for the Pro Tools developers
you probably know, but you can hold dwn cntrl and move the fader with your mouse and it will move in .1 increments, suppose it would work on a control surface to but cant say for sure.work for groups to. but i know what your saying it would be a cool feature. a lot of times i just live in the volume windows with my F6 tool and just do it all there. maybe a way in focus comand mode that whatever tracks are hilighted, the up and down arrow and work that way?? just a thought.

Re: Some ideas for the Pro Tools developers
I dont usually run out of grunt, however, when I open some older sessions done on 5.3.1 with the 2048 buffer I have to disable plugs..
and upgrading to the 002r meant i cant run 5.3.1... sheesh, even the asio driver goes up to 4096 |
