Automation Mode Workflow change (or preference)

Ensure "Dock automation mode buttons..." pref is on in EuControl Settings>General. Then, try this:

1. Go to Tracks view
2. Tap on track tile
3. Tap + Hold another track tile to select a range of tracks
4. Press "Do to Sel" button on Dock
5. Press desired Auto Mode (i.e. Write) twice (the need to press the button twice is most likely a bug and is what is confusing you).
   Result: All selected tracks are in new auto mode
   Note, if you press "Do to Sel" button again, you can press desired Auto Mode button once to change modes.

or...

1. Go to Tracks view
2. Press + Hold desired Auto Mode (i.e. Write) button on Dock
3. Tap on track tile in Tracks view
4. Tap + Hold another track tile to select a range of tracks
   Result: Range is selected and all selected tracks are in new auto mode

This feature has been added to 3.4.1 which is now available for download via my.avid.com/products. Please make sure you download Pro Tools | Control v1.0.7 from App Store as well. Additionally, there is a firmware update for Dock which resolves some fader errors, so make sure to perform that update.
