7.4 and Bootcamp.
Hi guys,
hope this is the right place for this post... i have both a Macbook and G5 which I plan to install either bootcamp beta on Tiger or Bootcamp on Leopard on which to run a 7.4le based setup. Is anyone currently having peoblems with such a setup? This would be my 1st leap into the world of bootcamp! Thanks for any help, JIm. |

Re: 7.4 and Bootcamp.
You probably should post in the LE for MAC section. Ask yourself this in the meantime; since protools runs fine on both platforms, why ask the MAC to emulate Windows to run protools when you may lose performance because of the backdoor approach? Also, after reading many posts of 7.4 troubles, I would not be in a hurry to jump on that bandwagon. 7.3 with cs5 is pretty solid so start there no matter whether you run OSX or XP trhu Bootcamp. I can't think of any advantage of WIndows over OSX (even though I run Windows).
