Default Re: Trouble restoring backup files

I drag and drop on to the external drive. you copy the entire folder your session is in, not the audio files folder or the session file, but the entire folder than contains it all.

then if and when i need, i leave the current session on my recording drive for the time being. then i change the name of the folder that holds my session on my backup drive. might add a 1 to it or bk for backup.

then drag and drop that folder on my recording drive. from this point you should be fine. its pretty simple really.

if i want to get uber technical, i might choose "save session copy in" under file in pt, then guide it to the external and it will do a copy of the entire session onto the drive. for most accounts i find this not necessary though some will say otherwise.

how are you restoring them?? should be pretty simple, those problems sound odd. is it a usb drive?

just launch your dvd burning software and select it to burn data, NOT audio and your good to go
