PT 12.8.2 errorcode Assertion line 822

Try starting PT with the N key held down until the popup window comes up, there choose the interface you have and see if that helps.

Really? Worked like a charm for me- Close ProTools- Then go to that page- When you go to that page, click on the "AAE Prefs 11+" box on the right, third one down. Then when you re-open PT, it should scan all the effects and rebuild the list that was corrupted. Good Luck!

Still this same problem. When i hold N i get another massage PT app has quit unexpectedly. I don't know what's wrong???

I'm getting errorcodes.... and also keystrokes are not always registering, I need to quit PT to get them to work. Keys D F G (ones I use all the time) are sometimes working sometimes not.

The error codes occur if I sometimes drag a clip whilst constraining its movemnt with the WIN key. Throws up an error, then most commands throw up more errors. Its a repeatable bug on my machine.

Trashed prefs etc, still the same

12.8.2 is buggy as hell, seems like they didnt bother testing it, cummon avid.

I'm on a Win10 machine running 12.8.2HD

I found this possible solution in a different thread:
If that still does not work, you will need to reset the Pro Tools Aggregate I/O over at the Audio MIDI Setup (under "Applications/Utilities":

1. In the Finder, click Go > Utilities
2. Double-click on Audio MIDI Setup
3. Click Pro Tools Aggregate I/O
4. Click the (-) button at the lower left of the window to remove the aggregate device
5. Relaunch Pro Tools

Make sure that if you update in the future, I ALWAYS trash old prefs before I update and I also uninstall the previous HD driver, if you are on Hardware. That seems to keep me out of these kinds of trouble. G

i need urgent help!!!
PT doesn´t start. And I´ve got no idea why it doesn't.
When I try to start, I get the following message:

Could not complete your request because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/212377/ProTools/AAE/Source/AAX/CFicAAXWidget.cpp", line 822.

Anyone out there, who can help me???
