Digi 003+ is making my computer really hot! Kernal_task is using all my CPU

My Digi 003 Works with PT 10 with 10.3.3 driver and will NOT work with 11.1.2 driver although I still need to test for fan speed and temperature issues (175F). I gave up at midnight and will do a clean install of PT 10.3.9 this afternoon.

My 003 will not work with co-install of 11.2.1 with the 10.3.3 driver. The 003 constantly states “Working…” when PT 10 or 11 is loaded - holding “N” during start only has the “Aggregate Audio” available.

I hate to roll back to 10 but this bit me hard over the weekend by not being able to record. PT 11 was working before I updated the driver but was exhibiting fast fan speeds and high temperatures. I've got sessions to track and $$ walking out the studio door . . .

I'll let you know this evening how everything works out. Very agitated.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

My setup now:

Mavericks 10.9.4
MBP 15-inch (Late 2011), 2.4.GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM
Focusrite OctPre MK II Dynamic
Digi 003 Console
003 driver 10.3.3
Protools 10.3.9

I spent about two month in searching any information about kernel_task, hot macbook and digi 002 or 003.
I tried osx from 10.7 to the last. And different drivers.
So i have a little solution for those who wants to use digi not only with DAW, but as system output, iTunes, internet sound etc.
And it will help if you are having freezing system.
You us latest drivers!
So here is what to do:

1) Open System Information (under Apple icon in upper-left, click About This Mac, click More Info)

2) Click System Report button, under Hardware, find your "Model Identifier" -remember this for later use

3) Navigate to /System/Library/Extensions an right-click, Show Package Contents of IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext

4) Open Contents/PlugIns and Show Package Contents of ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext

5) Open Contents/Resources

6) Find your MacBookAir?_?.plist (? = your model identifier from step 2) and delete the file

7) Reboot! Remember, anytime you do a System Update, you may need to repeat this process

8) If you won't to use digi with any DAW, you need to go to HD/Library/Audio/Midi drivers and delete or remove somewhere all files from this folder except Avid 003 Family.plugin.

9) Restart and it will work, but midi in/out MAYBE will not work.

10) The last thing, if you will change sample rate to 96000 your kernel task will be about 50%, if you will switch it to 44100 back, kernel_task will raise but it will not freeze your system, yes it will be hotter then without digi ON, but much more less than was before this manipulations.

P.S. when use digi with macpro 1.1/2.1 i don't have any kernel_task, at all, and everything is ok. so the problem is in the drivers and macbooks
